< Root, Restore, and Rise >

You are here to radiate peace and love. You are meant to feel vibrantly alive and lift others up to feel the same.

Only by letting go of what doesn’t serve your soul, can you make room for what does, and then rise into the abundant peace and joy that is meant for you. What is meant for you can never reach you if you are clinging to what is not.

What would happen if you let go of worn-out negative, limiting beliefs about yourself, or about life in general?
The things you’ve held onto since you were a child, things you’ve come to identify with as an adult? Pause now, close your eyes and and ask yourself - what feelings distract me from sustaining peace and feelings of abundance?

Maybe it’s the daily grind of our world that disconnects you, maybe it’s juggling the duties of motherhood and work and your desire for perfection. Or have your own needs simply been shut off because you put others before yourself, or perhaps something you experienced as a child or young person caused you to to identify as unworthy…

You are worthy. Open yourself up further to that truth with a loving heart, and see what happens...

If you want to learn how to restore your spirit (or discover yourself for the first time) so that you can be more present and empowered as a person, as a partner, an ally to movements of social justice, or as a parent, I can help you.

Together, we can break the trance, begin letting go of what doesn’t serve your highest self and transform your power through recognition and restoration. Once you internally release what is not meant for you, and cultivate pathways to peace, all that is meant for you will come shining through.

‘Worthiness is your birthright. Joy is your birthright. Peace is your birthright.’ Root down, Restore, and Rise.

“I always know that Chrislyn will help me find my path, help me steer when I waver, and provide inspiration along the way. I go to her when I experience failures and successes. There is no one better with whom to celebrate both.”

6 week Workshop for Women coming to Wichita Falls, Texas - 2020 -classes meet Tuesday evenings for six weeks. CANCELLED - COVID

Each session will consist of learning (or re-learning) how to restore and nurture yourself. We will experience how to cultivate presence and embrace our truths through individual reflection, group discussion, and creative practice.
By attending to your needs in the presence of other women, the work will be amplified. In the end, you will have better tools to honor and care for yourself and rise gracefully into your own magic. You deserve this! Once we begin to heal and nurture ourselves, we can better heal and nurture the world around us.

< Writing Workshops >

Along with my partner, Mike McClure, we facilitate a non-judgmental space to explore the craft of writing and collaborate with other writers and musicians - it’s a place to feel at ease and inspired. A place to dig in and start writing like you’ve always wanted. Time spent with us will encourage you to reach new heights (or depths) and expand further into your own creativity, and the craft of writing well.

This workshop is for aspiring writers of any form - songwriting, short stories, poetry, or long form fiction. It features several sessions on craft, mechanics, inspiration, and discipline. We will look at story, melody, and dive deep into what makes it all work, by offering in-depth sessions with guest teachers who themselves are working writers. There is one-one sessions with teachers to work on polishing a finished piece and a new one. There is co-write sessions with other participants to challenge your range, and a session that will push your boundaries and guide you into ways to diversify and deepen your writing. Each person will also have an opportunity to record one song if you’re a songwriter.

Each day is designed to instruct and also challenge and move you. Along with the work, there will be time for solitude as well with the final night giving you a chance to perform something at a house concert if you choose!

Come ready to learn, expand, and laugh.  A lot.

The next workshop is April 17/18 2020 in Ada, Oklahoma. Reach out for more information. Email

A few words from a previous workshop participant :
“The writers workshop you guys put on was significant for me in several ways… Getting to your place allowed me to focus on myself in a non-selfish way; The environment at your place made introspection easy. In a nutshell, it was a fantastic experience, put together by folks who care about your growth as a writer and human, and I made new friends that I am in contact with still today.” CW
